Did you mean to multiply? If so, you just add exponents x^2 × x^5 = x^10. Then if set equal to zero and move -2 to other side can take tenth root giving x = 2^(1/10)
When you times exponents that have the same base , you add the exponents so x^2 × x^5 = x^7. So the simplified version is x^7 - 2
